The Florida Department of Health in St. Lucie County goes beyond just individual care. We focus on the overall well-being of our entire community. We provide comprehensive primary care for everyone ages 18 and up. Services include physicals, management and treatment of chronic disease (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, thyroid conditions), health education and counseling, referrals for specialty care, and treatment of minor acute illness such as colds and flu.
Same day appointments are available. Call 772-462-3800 to schedule your visit or to discuss cost and payment options. Most services are offered at low to no cost, and we accept Medicaid, Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and self-pay. No one will be denied services due to inability to pay.

Primary Care
We provide comprehensive primary care for everyone ages 18 and up. Care includes exams, screenings, physicals, and acute care.
Women’s Health
Women’s health services include breast exams, annual Pap tests, counseling, and family planning.
Travel Health and Immunizations
We offer free or low-cost immunizations based on eligibility including travel medications and vaccines and no-cost school immunizations.
Sexually Transmitted Infections
We provide confidential testing, counseling, and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STI).
HIV/AIDS Prevention and Management
We provide HIV/AIDS confidential testing, counseling, linkage services, medication assistance, PrEP, nPEP, and case management. Primary and specialty care services are available by contracted providers for qualified individuals.
Viral Hepatitis
We provide confidential counseling and testing for hepatitis A, B, and C.
Tuberculosis
We test for and treat tuberculosis (TB).
Insulin Program
The Insulin Distribution Program is a safety net program available when there is no other resource available for insulin.
Epilepsy Program
The Epilepsy Medication Assistance Program is a safety net program that provides epilepsy medication to individuals when they need assistance.
