Department of Health in St. Lucie County teaming up with the World Baseball and Softball Confederation and St. Lucie County to provide COVID-19 vaccine between Olympic qualifier baseball games at Clover Park

The Florida Department of Health in St. Lucie County (DOH-St. Lucie) is teaming up with the World Baseball and Softball Confederation (WBSC) and St. Lucie County to provide one-shot Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine on June 2 from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. in between Olympic qualifying baseball tournaments at Clover Park, located at 31 Piazza Drive in Port St. Lucie.

A DOH-St. Lucie tent will be set up on the west side of the stadium for vaccines. Recipients of the vaccine will receive a $10 gift voucher for grocery shopping. Approximately 300 doses of vaccine will be available. No appointment needed.

“We are happy to partner with the county and WBSC to offer J&J vaccine during the Olympic Baseball Qualifiers to anyone age 18 and up who has not had an opportunity to get vaccinated,” said Clint Sperber, Administrator of DOH-St. Lucie.

The Nicaragua vs. the Dominican Republic game will start at 1 p.m., followed by the Puerto Rico vs. USA game at 7 p.m.
