Fort Pierce Inlet State Park – River tests below unsafe level

St. Lucie County, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health in St. Lucie County (DOH-St. Lucie) is lifting the advisory for high bacterial levels at the following location:

Fort Pierce Inlet State Park – River location (Kayak Launch Area)
905 Shorewinds Drive
Fort Pierce, FL 34949


The water sample collected on Monday, May 18, 2026, indicates that the water quality at Fort Pierce Inlet State Park – River location (kayak launch area) shows an acceptable level of Enterococcus bacteria established by state guidelines. Advisories are available at Beach Water Quality – Florida Department of Health.
