The Florida Refugee Health Program is part of the Division of Community Health Promotion, Bureau of Family Health Services, Prevention Services and Quality Management Section.  The vision of the Florida Refugee Health Program is to be a leader in providing culturally sensitive health services to persons who have fled their home country due to persecution (political, religious, or economic) in search of a better life and self-sufficiency in the U.S.  Within this vision is the goal of the protection of public health from communicable disease through the review of overseas visa medical examination (OVME) records and the provision of health assessments and immunizations.
