Our Nation was founded on a spirit of volunteerism and the energy of American volunteers continues to be one of our nation's greatest resources.
Volunteers are vital to the Department of Health. They are an integral part of the agency and assist in expanding our resources to improve the quality of life and health of the residents of Florida.Chapter 110 Volunteer Program
The Department of Health benefits from the services of all kinds of volunteers. Volunteer Health Care Provider Program
The mission of this program is to increase access to health care by providing medical liability protection to those donating medical and dental services to eligible clients.
By volunteering their time and services, physicians, dentists, nurses, and other licensed professionals are responding to the needs of those who are less fortunate. These professionals provide limited but vital primary and specialty care to the uninsured and undeserved residents of Florida. Working with local county health departments, community and faith-based organizations, these licensed professionals are joining forces and volunteering their valuable time and skills to a noble cause.
If you are a physician, dentist, nurse, or licensed professional interested in donating your services to the Volunteer Health Services Program, please contact Steve Krajewski at 772-785-6183.
